Our Product Liability Lawyers have recently uncovered documents which demonstrates Ducati's own knowledge that the motorcycle models listed above contain a defect which may lead to cracking on the right axle mount on the right side fork near the pinch bolts. This failure may lead to steering loss which can of course lead to a crash, thereby seriously injuring the riders.

Our Ducati Defect Lawyers have also uncovered a May 28, 2009 report completed by Jonathon La Forte, a Ducati Technical Manager. The handwritten document states that the defect is caused by an insufficient amount of material around the axle mount, causing metal fatigue. The report further confirms that the product does not comply with design specifications.

In addition to Ducati, the report also implicates its supplier, Rohlins Racing AB. Ultimately, the companies acknowledge that they believe there are 732 vehicles affected by this defect.

Ducati has issued a recall and designed a more permanent fix.
